The Land in the Sky: The Rooftop Garden at Native Child and Family Services of Toronto

Directed and Edited by Kelsey Carriere
Videographer Bonnie Whitehall

This film depicts the extraordinary potential for designing and utilizing green roofs using Indigenous knowledge and intent as a guide, through an exploration of the Native Child and Family Services rooftop garden in Toronto, Canada.

Interviews with the architect, landscape architect, and the staff and community that use the space document how strong vision can create a place that is not only biodiverse and sustainable, but powerful, meaningful, and healing despite its urban surroundings.
