Bees & Pollinators – Low Maintenance Rooftop Hives

Details

AVAILABLE NOW!

Rooftop Urban Bees are a growing trend across the United States and many cities have repealed 100 year old laws to not only allow for urban beekeeping but encourage it! Yet, year over year we continue to see devastating honeybee loss reports which detail 40% of hives are not making it through the winter.

But the data shows us that Honey Bee colonies in urban settings are fairing better than ever, feeding off the immense amount of gardens and flowering public spaces.

In this talk we will explore the growing movement of Rooftop Urban Bees, how to get started, things to avoid, benefits and drawbacks.
